Rosa Nguyen brings the organic and the human-made together in thought-provoking and intriguing objects, installations and 'environments', using ceramics, glass and other materials. Her work reflects a growing interest amongst those trained as applied artists in multi-media rather than pure mono-material forms, in her case drawing on her absorption of the natural world, enriched by her interest in Western and Oriental philosophies. Gardening has been a particular focus, with Nguyen's very affirming objects and groupings reflecting our intimate relationship with and ordering of nature.

Born in 1960 in Vietnam, Nguyen trained in ceramics at Middlesex and the RCA.
